How your keys are stored
- Keys are generated on your device and encrypted with your password using industry-standard encryption
- The extension never sends keys, seed phrases, or your password anywhere
- Unlocking is local; your password decrypts the vault in memory for the session
The seed phrase is everything
- Anyone with the phrase controls the wallet on both chains
- Lose the phrase and the password and nobody can recover your funds
- Store it offline. Never type it into a website. The extension will never ask for it outside the import flow.
Recovery
Reinstall the extension on any machine and choose Import, then enter your phrase. Both your bwickchain and Solana accounts come back, including all launchpad tokens (they live on chain, not in the extension).Good hygiene
- Use a dedicated password, not one shared with other services
- Verify the extension is the official Bwick listing before installing
- Prefer a hardware wallet for large holdings; the extension supports hardware signers
- Watch-only imports let you monitor an address without its keys ever touching the browser
